Module on the Integration of Financial Education Elements for Primary Schools
The Module on the Integration of Financial Education Elements for Primary Schools has been developed by the Ministry of Education to cultivate financially literate pupils from an early age through the incorporation of values, knowledge, and financial management skills within teaching and learning sessions. This module encompasses six Financial Literacy (FL) elements:
- FL1: Money, Sources of Income, and Careers
- FL2: Responsibility and Financial Decision-Making
- FL3: Financial Management and Planning
- FL4: Savings and Investment
- FL5: Credit and Debt Management
- FL6: Risk Management
Through this module, pupils are guided to make prudent, ethical, and responsible financial decisions for the well-being of themselves, their families, and society.

Karnival Celik Kewangan by BNM
Karnival Celik Kewangan is part of BNM’s nationwide engagement since 2017 to raise the public’s awareness on financial products and services, financial literacy and strengthen the local community’s financial management capabilities.
With the theme “Your Financial Needs Matters” and the concept of edutainment, Karnival Kewangan brought financial institutions and government agencies under one roof to showcase their products and services as well as providing advisory on financial matters and access to financing. Pocket Talks were also conducted with visitors on topics such as SME financing, financial scams, effective debt management, insurance/takaful protection as well as interactive activities such as Financial Treasure Hunt.
